Smith family fishing Success!

May 23rd, 2007 A monster 318 lb Alaska halibut was captured at Alaska's best fishing lodge, Tanaku Lodge located in Elfin Cove, Alaska. Captain Mike Nichols (one of Tanaku's master guides) of the vessel 'Tanaku Too', put the Smith family onto the mammoth barndoor bottom fish. The season is just beginning and has started off with a BIG BANG!! King salmon have been biting their heads off with the largest landed tipping the scale at a hefty 34 lbs. There are only a handful of spots open this season, so contact us soon to arrange your world-class Alaska fishing vacation.
